Description: Rosette-forming. Green leaves. (Leaf tips can become reddish during the springtime.) Once an older rosette flowers, it dies soon after. Butterfly attracter.
Flowering time: Yellow flowers borne on long stems from winter to spring.
Culture: Not fond of hot or dry conditions. Can go dormant in the summer. Grows during winter and spring. Full sun-part sun. Moist shade okay. Very little water needed. Well-drained soil. Subject to root rot if left sitting in wet soil too long.
Fertilize once every one or two months, in its growing season. Use a balanced fertilizer that has been diluted.
