Culture: Full sun to part-shade. Moderate water. Needs well-drained soil. Likes sandy soil. Heat and wind tolerant. Poor soil, salt air tolerant. Hardy to 20-25°F.
Description: Although not a true mint, has fragrant mint-scented leaves. Oval variegated leaves. Creamy margins, green center. Tiny, lilac, tubular flowers. Round habit, fast growth. Attracts bees & butterflies. Deer resistant. Prune back to 3 or 4’ at the most. Tip prune once a year for a more formal look. Short-lived perennial, (up to 5 years). Ornamental. Wonderful low screen, formal hedge, bonsai, background, filler, in a container.
